Biography

María Guadalupe Araujo (born December 10, 1955), also called Ana Gabriel, is a Mexican vocalist and musician from Comanito, Sinaloa, Mexico. She originally sang on the phase at age six, singing “Regalo A Dios” by José Alfredo Jiménez. She moved to Tijuana, Baja California, and considered bookkeeping. At age 21, in 1977, she recorded her first melody, named “Compréndeme”. During her long profession, she has hits in three unique kinds of music: Latin pop, Latin stone, and Mariachi.

Starting in 2013, Gabriel had released twenty studio collections, three live collections, and fifteen arrangement collections. Three Gabriel collections arrived at number one on the Billboard Latin Pop Albums, and seven singles arrived at number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs outline, including “Ay Amor”, “Es Demasiado Tarde”, and “Quién Como Tú”.

Her work earned her various honors and awards, including a Grammy Award selection, four Latin Grammy Award assignments, thirteen Lo Nuestro Awards, just as grants from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers; in 2006, she got the Excellence Award at the Lo Nuestro Awards.
